Artificially intelligence is beating the best human players effortlessly in board games such as Chess and the much more complex Go. The latest instalment of Google’s DeepMind AlphaGo Zero trained itself without human intervention (quote “… we did not want to limit the system to human knowledge”) and taught itself in 21 days more than humankind had achieved in playing the game for 2,500 years.

 

Systems like IBM Watson beat top-contenders in pop quiz game shows like Jeopardy! while off-line. IBM Watson also defines cancer therapies, trains medical students, calculates medical insurance claims payouts and handles claims end-to-end.
